ALUMINUM-OXIDE TRAP LAYER - Keeps silicone and lead outside the ceramic element through DENSO's exclusive design, preventing damage to the platinum electrode.DOUBLE-PROTECTION COVER - Maintains proper unit temperature for quicker response times and protects the ceramic element against silicone and lead poisoning.SUPERIOR DESIGN - Maximizes engine performance and fuel efficiency while reducing harmful emissions.High-quality stainless steel, porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), fluorine rubber, aluminum oxide, high-grade platinum and ceramics are used in each DENSO sensor. NTK ADVANTAGE: Superior dual-coated platinum interface and thinner ceramic element produces fastest light off and response times with best durabilityĭenso First Time Fit oxygen sensors are constructed of the highest quality materials available.ADVANCED CERAMIC SENSOR ELEMENT: 3-stage contaminant-resistant plasma jet and deposit trap overcoat protects against element poisoning.EASY INSTALLATION: NTK Oxygen Sensors are equipped with OE specified, water-resistant connectors and harness accessory hardware for easy installation.Testing during manufacturing guarantees quality and reliability EXTENSIVE TESTING: OE development includes vibration and thermal shock testing.OE TECHNOLOGY: Upgraded to the latest OE technologies, NTK Oxygen Sensors are designed to reduce OE failures, enhance durability and performance.PRODUCT ENGINEERING: Based on OE expertise, but specifically engineered for the aftermarket, NTK Oxygen Sensors offer superior OE fit, form, function.OEM QUALITY: NTK is the world's largest supplier of original equipment oxygen sensors with renowned quality that meets or exceeds OEM specifications.Trust The Sensor Specialist for full-line market support and OE application technology. A ceramics company at our core, NTK uses state-of-the art technology enabling control of the ceramic element used in our oxygen sensors from raw material to finished product. Providing constant closed loop feedback to the ECU, oxygen sensors help to control the air-fuel ratio while alerting OBDII systems of possible problems with fuel delivery or catalytic converter efficiency. Oxygen sensors play a critical role as part of the vehicle's on-board diagnostic system in maintaining optimal engine performance, maximizing fuel efficiency and reducing harmful emissions. Each oxygen sensor’s heater circuit is assessed separately.NTK is the world's largest supplier and manufacturer of OEM oxygen sensors. The Powertrain Control Module continuously checks current flow through the heater circuit on some OBD II systems. The Powertrain Control Module turns the heater strip circuit on and off for each sensor during oxygen sensor heater monitoring and checks for a predicted change in current. Usually, the fuse is rated from 15 to 30 amps. It may be under the driver’s side dashboard in the passenger compartment for some automobiles or is located in the fuse box under the hood in the engine compartment labeled with different names according to the make and model. It’s a component of the Oxygen Sensor Heater system. In front of the exhaust system is a Heated Oxygen. The position of the oxygen sensor fuse may vary from model to model car. Oxygen sensors with heaters are usually equipped with 3 or 4 wires. This heater usually has its own wiring circuit. A warmed oxygen sensor has its own circuit for heating, which is usually powered by a separate circuit. Most car models with OBD-II have heated oxygen sensors. The oxygen sensor provides no voltage to the computer in cold weather (until the car is started), which is why a heater is used to warm up the sensor.
